Still drinking Macallan…not for long.
Old Pulteney 21 is the only reason this site was launched..Rick, Chad, and I spent an evening killing a bottle of 21 and writing what we think passes for ‘quality content’. We hope you agree. But honestly after this much Scotch I couldn’t even begin to care.
It will surprise you as every interaction opens itself up more and more. The nose is subtle. The first sip is pleasing with notes of spices, grass, and honey. The finish is long and deep. And the second (and third, and 25th sip) exposes more subtle flavors that will draw you in. If you haven’t tried it do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle. But don’t trust us; Jim Murray rated it the best whiskey of 2012.
